Join us on Wednesdays for The VORTEX Movement Series at Lobe 4D Sound Studio. Workshops are open to all levels, from those new to movement to experienced dancers, classes are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all. Classes focus on guided somatic explorations with a holistic approach to movement, with live immersive 4D sound to enhance and inspire being with your body in an entirely unique way.

Rachel | Class Description
Join us for “VORTEX | 4D Sound + Dance Jam” at Lobe, Vancouver's premier spatial sound studio. This immersive workshop merges movement and sound, allowing you to connect with your body's inherent wisdom. We’ll start with gentle breathwork and guided meditation to awaken our intuition, followed by a sensory-tuning warmup and play. Participants will explore individually and as a group, responding to the dynamic soundscape. Guided by an improvised movement score, we’ll be free to interact with sound, moving intuitively in sync or contrast to the vibrations. In essence, we are free to break the rules and explore from a place of autonomy, imagination and uninhibited self-expression. All movers and experience levels are welcome!
Ben | Class Description
Discover the joy of movement in this immersive contemporary dance workshop at Lobe 4D Sound Studio. Open to all levels, from experienced dancers to those new to movement, this class invites you to explore your body through guided improvisation. Using imagery and sound as inspiration, we’ll explore textures, sensations, and mindful awareness. This class has a strong emphasis on our connection to the floor, and how we can use that connection to source movement through the body. Whether you seek creative expression, self-discovery, or simply the freedom to move, this workshop offers a supportive and inclusive space to explore your unique movement voice. As this workshop is hosted at Lobe Studio, class will of course be accompanied by immersive 4D sound!
